The First Totems
It is said
that long ago before man was create, the universe was at
peace. All things lived in balance and one language was
spoken by
all of the tribes of the plant, mineral, animal and elementals
kingdoms.
One day God decided that it was time for a new creation, so
man was created. Now man was different from all of God’s other
creations, because he was given free will, and the gift of
creativity. Man was placed on the earth and began to
multiply. As man grew in numbers they began to devoir
everything in their path. They killed needlessly and poisoned
the land.
A council
of the wisest from the plant, animal, mineral and elemental
tribes was gathered to discuss the problem of man. After many
nights of talk it was decided that man was not given
conscience so he would know right from wrong. Perhaps if he was shown how to live in balance he
would change. After much debate it was decided that each
tribe would give a gift to man in hopes that this would return
balance to the universe.
The people
of the Animal kingdoms decided that they would send their spirits
to speck to the hearts of man, so they would have a sense of right
and wrong. As a gift from the animal tribes if man listens to
the voice in his heart, he would grow in strength and wisdom.
The people
of the Plant kingdoms decided that man must have a sickness that
needed a cure. So as a gift from the plant tribe they would
use their life force to cure all sickness man would create..
The people
of the mineral kingdoms, decided to use its quality's to
strengthen the spirits of man. As a gift when man carries a
piece of the mineral, he soon takes on the qualities of
that mineral.
The
people of the elemental tribe, decided give use their energy
to help men live easier. As a gift they gave man fire for
heat, rain for their crops, wind to cool them in the summer
and earth to build on.
At first
many men listened to their hearts and followed the wisdom of
their spirit helpers. Because of this the earth was renewed
and live was good for all. But sadly not all men would not
listen nor did they want to live in balance. Their heart
were full of greed, anger and fear
This is
how the first totems were created as a gift to mankind. If we
are wise and listen to the voices in our heart and live in
balance with the universe, live is good. If not the world will
be full of chaos and fear.
Once again Mankind is destroying the land. The Great
Council has been called and our spirit helpers are ready to
aid us, in once again bringing balance to our world. It is
time to listen to our hearts and trust the small voice that
lives there, so we can renew our world.
